As the fantasy football playoffs roll on, our Week 16 fantasy QB rankings aim to help you stave off elimination in your quest for a championship. Fantasy's highest scoring position will do its part in keeping your lineup competitive, so long as you make the right start 'em, sit 'em moves at quarterback. Injuries and illne ses kept fantasy owners on their toes at quarterback last week, and there are a couple of Darren Daulton Jersey notable injuries to watch this week, too (more on that below). Overall, though, all the top options are safe to pencil in your lineup -- unle s you think you can do better. Fortunately, we're here to guide you through all your decisions at fantasy's highest-scoring position, so let's get to it and break down our Week 16 QB rankings. Josh Allen (@ Chargers in Week 16) retains our top spot despite not needing to throw the ball much with the Bills running it down the Cowboys' throat. Allen draws a considerably better matchup this week against a Chargers defense that made rookie Aidan O'Connell look like a fantasy QB1 last week. Similarly, Dak Prescott (@ Dolphins) aims to maintain his MVP-caliber play in South Beach, facing a Dolphins defense fresh off a home shutout. We're not too worried about the Cowboys' offense despite their 10-point effort in Week 15, as a dud performance occurs every once in a while in today's parity-filled league. Patrick Mahomes (vs. Raiders) and the Chiefs' offense got back on track in their double-digit road win over the Patriots and now face a Raiders defense they just hung 31 points on in Week 12. Jalen Hurts (vs. Giants) has arguably the toughest matchup of these upper-echelon fantasy QBs, but his dual-threat abilities and rushing-TD upside make him one of the top fantasy options in a must-win week. WEEK 16 STANDARD RANKINGS | | | | Tua Tagovailoa (vs. Cowboys) made amends for his rough Week 12 showing against the Jets, and while the game state didn't force him to air the football out much, a projected one-score game this week elevates his fantasy ceiling. If Tyreek Hill (ankle) returns, it will be tough to keep Tagovailoa on your bench. Jared Goff (@ Vikings) torched the Broncos' defense to the tune of 278 yards and five TDs last week, and now he goes against a Vikings defense that surrendered over 300 pa sing yards to Jake Browning and the Bengals. A tough test awaits Lamar Jackson (@ 49ers) as they head to northern California to face the red-hot 49ers on Christmas night, but Baltimore's QB1 could have a better-than-expected fantasy showing against a defense that's rather unfamiliar with his play style. Brock Purdy (vs. Ravens) has been as safe as it gets at the QB position but matches up against a Ravens defense yielding the third-fewest fantasy points to QBs. Will Kyle Shanahan's offense keep humming J. T. Realmuto Jersey against a reliable Ravens defense? WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS | | | | Baker Mayfield (vs. Jaguars), Jake Browning (@ Steelers), Gardner Minshew (@ Falcons), and Derek Carr (@ Rams) emerge as this week's top waiver-wire options with streamer appeal. Mayfield just posted a perfect pa sing rating in his 381-yard, four-TD showing against the Packers, and given how steady his offensive line looked in Week 15, another respectable fantasy day could be in the works. Browning has kept the Bengals' playoff hopes alive thanks to three straight games with at least 275 pa sing yards, and he looks to extend that streak to four against a reeling Steelers defense. Minshew is thriving in Shane Steichen's QB-friendly scheme and will likely continue his efficient play against a Falcons defense ranked near the top of the league in most fantasy points allowed to QBs. Carr's fantasy numbers have looked appealing in the past two weeks thanks to his pa sing touchdowns, and while the Saints offense never looks pretty, he's finding a way to stay relevant in the fantasy world. In really deep leagues, you could consider Tommy DeVito (@ Eagles) and whoever starts for the Jets (vs. Commanders), as they have the two best QB matchups on the board. If Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) makes an improbable comeback, as has been rumored, he would immediately step back into borderline must-start status. WEEK 16 FANTASY ADVICE: | | | Jordan Love (@ Panthers), Ru sell Wilson (vs. Patriots), and Sam Howell (@ Jets) all face tough matchups this week against three steady defenses. Love and the Packers' offense have returned to their early-season form in the past two weeks, and he's set to face a Panthers defense that has yielded the fewest fantasy points to QBs. The Patriots entered Week 15 allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to QBs, and although Mahomes and the Chiefs had their way last week, it's hard to imagine the Broncos doing the same. Although backup Jacoby Bri sett led the Commanders on TD drives in his first two po se sions after taking over for Howell last week, head coach Ron Rivera told the media that Howell's still the team's QB1. That said, it's tough to trust him with your season on the line against one of the best defenses in the NFL. WEEK 16 DFS: | | | C.J. Stroud (concu sion) and Kenny Pickett (ankle) mi sed last week, but we expect Stroud to return and Pickett to remain out. Zach Wilson (concu sion) and Will Levis (ankle) left their games early, so those in superflex/2-QB leagues might need to look elsewhere this week. After getting diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, we've replaced Levis with Ryan Tannehill. Trevor Lawrence also entered concu sion protocol after the SNF game, so all eyes will be on him throughout the week ahead of a highly favorable matchup in Tampa. C.J. Beathard would start if Lawrence can't go. UPDATE:Stroud is reportedly going to mi s his second-straight game, opening the door for Case Keenum to start again. Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) will reportedly be medically cleared to return this week, but with the Jets having little to play for, it seems unlikely they'd take that risk. Nonethele s, it bears watching, as a matchup against the Commanders would be ideal for Rodgers. We'll be updating these QB rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
